Our Methodology: Evidence-First Appeal-Readiness
In short: GBP Guardian works from your answers and Google’s published Business Profile policies — not from inside access to Google. It maps your situation to the risk areas Google most commonly flags, expresses them as qualitative likelihood (never numeric scores or guarantees), and turns that into fix-first steps, a tailored evidence checklist, and an owner-safe appeal you submit yourself.
The principles behind every result
1. From your answers, not your account
GBP Guardian never asks for or accesses your Google account, and it does not scrape your profile. It works entirely from the answers you give in the free check. That keeps the process private and puts you in control of what it reasons about.
2. Grounded in Google’s published policies
The risk areas the tool checks are drawn from Google’s own publicly documented Business Profile guidelines — address eligibility, business-name rules, categories, duplicates, service-area configuration, and verification requirements. We reason from what Google publishes, not from insider knowledge or rumor.
3. Qualitative likelihood, never false certainty
Because Google does not disclose the exact reason for most actions, the tool presents likelihood qualitatively — for example “primary risk — high likelihood” or “contributing factor” — rather than a fabricated numeric score. When the signal is weak, it says so. It never invents a precise cause it cannot support.
4. Fix the cause first, then prepare evidence
The most commonly documented reason appeals fail is that the underlying issue was not fixed before filing. So the method always sequences the same way: identify the likely cause, fix it, gather matching evidence, then prepare the appeal — in that order.
5. Compliance-first language
Every packet is written to be owner-safe and policy-aligned: factual, specific, and free of claims you cannot support. The tool will not draft language that asserts actions you have not taken or that overstates your case.
6. You decide; Google decides the outcome
GBP Guardian prepares; you review, adjust, and submit through Google’s own process. Google alone decides every appeal. Nothing here changes that — the goal is simply to make your submission as accurate and complete as it can be.
How a free check becomes a prepared appeal
The path from answers to a ready-to-submit appeal is deliberately structured:
Step 1 — Structured questions
The free check asks targeted questions about your profile, address type, business model, recent edits, verification status, and the evidence you already have.
Step 2 — Map to documented risk areas
Your answers are mapped to the suspension, eligibility, and verification risk areas Google most commonly flags, and ranked by qualitative likelihood — most likely cause first.
Step 3 — Fix-first plan & tailored evidence
The packet lays out what to correct, in what order, and a tailored evidence checklist with examples of what good proof looks like for your business model. See a sample packet or the full evidence checklist.
Step 4 — Owner-safe appeal & submission
You get an owner-safe appeal draft and clear guidance on where and how to submit, plus what to do if you’re denied. You submit it yourself through Google’s appeal process.
What the method is not
Not a guarantee, and not a shortcut
No method — ours or anyone’s — can guarantee reinstatement, rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue. We do not have a back channel to Google, and we do not promise outcomes. A well-prepared appeal is the strongest position you can control; the decision remains Google’s.
Not legal advice, not a Google channel
GBP Guardian is a document-preparation and readiness tool, not a law firm and not Google support. It is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. For who built it and why, see about GBP Guardian.
