Privacy Policy

Who we are
GBP Guardian is an independent appeal-readiness and evidence-preparation tool for Google Business Profile issues. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. References to “GBP Guardian,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy refer to the operator of gbpguardian.com.
What information we collect
Free appeal-readiness check
When you use the free check at /check, you answer a series of questions about your Google Business Profile situation. These answers are processed on our server to generate your results and are not stored in a database or linked to your identity. No account is required.
Email capture (optional)
After receiving your results, you may optionally provide your email address. If you do, we store your email address, your general issue type, and a timestamp in a server-side file. We use this information to follow up about your situation. You can request deletion of your email at any time by contacting support@gbpguardian.com.
Paid Appeal Readiness Packet — intake form
If you purchase an Appeal Readiness Packet, you will complete a detailed intake form. The information you provide (business name, address, issue description, and document checklist selections) is stored temporarily on our server solely for the purpose of generating your report. Once your report is generated, the intake data is deleted from our server. For Guided Appeal ($149) purchases, if your packet cannot be generated on the first attempt, your intake is retained securely only until your packet is delivered — so you can retry without re-entering it — and is automatically purged within about 7 days if it is not completed. We do not store document files — only your selections from a checklist of document types.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or billing address. Stripe’s privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.
How we use your information
- To generate your appeal-readiness results and, if purchased, your Appeal Readiness Packet
- To follow up by email if you have opted in
- To improve the tool based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies and tracking
GBP Guardian uses a session cookie to maintain state across pages during your visit (for example, to carry your triage results to the results page). This cookie is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. It expires when you close your browser or after a short inactivity period.
Our hosting infrastructure may collect standard server logs, including IP addresses and request timestamps, for security and operational purposes. These logs are governed by our hosting providers’ own privacy policies.
Data retention
- Free check answers: not stored beyond the session
- Email opt-in: retained until you request deletion
- Paid intake data: deleted from our server after your report is generated; for Guided Appeal purchases, retained only until your packet is delivered if a retry is needed, and automatically purged within about 7 days otherwise
- Payment records: retained by Stripe per their policy; we retain only a minimal order reference (no business details)
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you by emailing support@gbpguardian.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the tool after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
